15. ULUSLARARASI TÜRK DİL BİLİM KURULTAYI
Uluslararası Türk Dilbilim Kurultayı Türkçe ve diğer Türk dilleri üzerine çalışmaları içeren, güncel bilgilerin ve bulguların paylaşıldığı ve tartışıldığı büyük bir organizasyondur. Bu toplantılara dünyanın pek çok ülkesinden dilbilim ya da Türkoloji alanlarında çalışan pek çok bilim insanı, bildiri ve poster sunumlarıyla katılmaktadır. Kurultaylar, dönüşümlü olarak, biri Türkiye’de biri de Türkiye dışındaki bir ülkede saygın ve köklü üniversitelerce iki yılda bir düzenlenmektedir. Söz konusu kurultaylarda sunulan bildirilerin hepsi önemli yayınevlerince yayımlanmaktadır.
Uluslararası Türk Dilbilim Kurultayları 1982 yılından bu yana düzenli olarak gerçekleştirilmektedir. İlk kurultay 1982 yılında Amerika Birleşik Devletlerinde Berkley’de yapılmıştır. Ardından sırasıyla şu ülkelerde düzenlenmiştir: İstanbul, Türkiye (1984); Hollanda, Tilburg (1986); Ankara, Türkiye (1988); İngiltere, Londra (1990); Eskişehir, Türkiye (1992); Mainz, Almanya (1994); Ankara, Türkiye (1996); Oxford, İngiltere (1998); İstanbul, Türkiye (2000); Gazimagusa, Kıbrıs (2002); İzmir, Türkiye (2004); Uppsala, İsveç (2006).Ankara, Türkiye (2008) 15.Uluslararası Türk Dilbilim Kurultayı ise 20-22 Ağustos tarihleri arasında Macaristan'ın Seged şehrinde gerçekleştirilecek.
